Our Team

        A Graduate of Ave Maria School of Law , Jason also attended Eastern Michigan University, for his Undergraduate Degree. 

        Jason is employed with Yatooma & Associates, P.C. as a Plaintiff's attorney and litigator since 2019.      Jason began practicing No-Fault law with the Firm's owner, Danielle Yatooma in about 2010.  After that, he then worked for major automobile and homeowner insurance companies for several years before returning to Yatooma & Associates in 2019.  

        Jason has successfully litigated 1,000's of cases involving motor vehicle accidents, under Michigan's  No-Fault Law, as well as personal injury claims arising under homeowners/ commercial policies including but not limited to dog bites, slip and falls, and other personal injuries claims.  Jason has experience at the district, circuit and appellate court levels.  Jason has experience of litigating trucking, No-Fault and criminal matters in the United States Federal Courts. 

        Licensed to practice in the State of Michigan, the United States District Court-Eastern District of Michigan, as well as the United States Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, he has a wide array of experience and expertise relating to automobile, trucking and motorcycle accidents.

         As a former insurance defense attorney, Jason is familiar with insurance claims, the roll of insurance adjusters, insurance policy requirements, expert reports, and insurance required medical examinations.  The experienced gained as a former insurance attorney provides him with the ability to recognize and understand the Insurance company's strategies and tactics in litigating the lawsuit. He is familiar with, and able to advise you as to the pitfalls and the "traps" that a client may fall into during their claims processing and during litigation, as well as how to avoid errors that may hurt your case.

         In his current role, as a Plaintiff's attorney, he has had continued success in obtaining millions of dollars in settlements arising from 1st party PIP claims, 3rd Party Tort claims and 1st party medical provider claims.  He represents families and individuals injured in motor vehicle accidents, medical providers who have not been paid under No-Fault Insurance claims, victims of dog bites, slip and falls, and  other injuries. 

        In addition, he will  provide criminal defense to those in need of criminal defense.

        Outside of the practice of law, Jason is an avid traveler and scuba diver whose passion is diving with sharks, whales and other large marine life.  He  holds a certification under PADI as a Scuba Diving Instructor and is an avid outdoorsman who loves the National Park system.   He is currently working toward obtaining his Private Pilot License, technical diving certifications and hopes to sometime in the near future obtain a Class A Skydiving License.
